Pay Rate: $15.00-$16.00/hour

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the shopping mall. This role performs routine cleaning tasks in public areas such as restrooms, food courts, entrances, walkways, vacant spaces, and service corridors. The associate works under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure the facility remains presentable, hygienic, and in good condition at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning of restrooms, food court areas, entrances, hallways, elevators, escalators, and other common spaces
• Replenish restroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels
• Empty trash bins and remove litter from indoor and outdoor mall areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces and high-touch areas
• Respond promptly to spills, trash overflow, and other cleaning needs reported by staff or customers
• Assist in setting up or cleaning up after mall events and promotions
• Report maintenance issues or damages to the Facilities Lead
• Follow all safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Support the overall cleanliness and appearance of the mall, creating a pleasant experience for shoppers and tenants
• Wear proper uniform and maintain a professional appearance at all times

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and the safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physically able to perform duties, including lifting (up to 30 lbs), standing, walking, and bending for long periods

Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• OSHA or safety training certifications a plus (training may be provided on the job)

Work Environment:

• Work is performed indoors and occasionally outdoors, in a busy mall environment
• Requires availability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events
• This shift will primarily be our second shift from 11:30am-8:00pm
• Use of cleaning tools and equipment (e.g., mops, vacuums, buffers) daily
